CASE STUDY FOR IIM: KANK
I think for IIM's KANK will be better case study than Krrish. Krrish has had some thing postive in movie, the movie would have been hit anyway. But look at KANK, you will hardly find any one like the movie,except SK fans. and see movie has been marketed so well that it becomes one of biggest hit of year(As far as first week collection goes) First an unprecedented hype was created.Then certain critics has been hired to make film look like a greatest ever show. What you get a good first week.Not goot but damn good. film has recovered cost mostly.so already a Hit. Now whats great is that on basis of first week collections they are booking for 2nd week. And general comments are: Film is biggest blockbustter urban India has seen. Wow.... One should forget about sholay, HAHK,or Gadar. Film is not doing well in rural because film is for class not for mass. What if films collections drop more than 50%.Film already has collected much in first week. So where are IIM guys. Come on when ever you get a chance like this. Its history, when people did not like movie,what still its biggest blockbuster.
