This was Xmas weekend.I saw two movies on weekend.
One was new release of week: Bhagam Bhag and other was released 5 weeks ago :Dhoom 2
Bhagam bhag is, what to say, actually ask you to bhag from the theater.
I did not enjoy watching the movie.
Both Govinda and Akshay look old. Why did not akshay shaved, God knows.
Akshay and Presh Rawal both look in same mode as they were in HP. But this time their lines are mostly predictable, does not make you laugh. Some of dialogues are double meanings and above all they all are shouting in movie.
God knows why they did not give more dialogue to natural comedian aka Govinda.
What the hell Lara Dutta doing in movie.
Dhoom2, well in the 5th week also the Galaxie theater in Gaziabad was houseful till Tuesday. I was lucky to get Ticket because I was alone and single seat was left in theater.
Movie is good time pass movie. Good scenes, nice hero, heroines, good music, sexy dance, nice stunts. And further more if you r Hrithik fan then its must watch for you.The movie belongs to Hrithik then Ash and then remaining Cast.

After Dhoom 2, Hrithik has made a meal of the aphrodisiac called success.
Q . The 20-something chicks are screaming for you after Dhoom 2.
I’ve noticed. The response has been pretty aggressive. The roars and shrieks and the handshakes are all a compliment for my work. I don’t let them inflate my ego.
Q . A new phase has begun in your career with Krrish and Dhoom 2?
You think so? I’ve never had such responses before. I’m getting all kinds of feedback from every quarter. I believe Dhoom 2 is even bigger than Krrish. All of us are ecstatic. Uday and I’ve been together since Standard 2 in school. We feel we’re back in school and won a competition together. Abhishek, Uday and I are constantly calling each other for feedback. Thank God our childhood friendship never got lost in adult ambitions.
Q . You’ve the whole nation by their vitals.
Ha! That’s funny. I take that as an impetus and motivation to go to another level as an actor. I don’t let it tamper with my sense of self. I won’t think about things that hamper my growth. I’d rather not think of myself as invincible. I’d rather think about the next challenge which is Jodha-Akbar. Anything beyond that would be detrimental to my dreams as an actor. An actor’s downfall begins when he begins to take the adulation too seriously.
Q . Ashutosh Gowariker describes Dhoom 2 as a showreel for your abilities. Flattering thought?
He was being generous to an actor he loves so much. But I don’t think showreels work as movies. Even if Dhoom 2 is a fantasy caper there’s a thought, plot and emotion behind it, though it might not be immediately apparent. A showreel for my abilities? No way!
Q . What about all those exotic sports and stunts?
Agreed, they’re an attraction. But I think what worked for my character is that I played a cool guy for the first time. I did play one in the second half of Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai. But that’s it. Otherwise I was relegated to playing goody two-shoes…you know, the consummate do-gooder with a sweet smile on his face.
Q . We still think your best performance to date is in Arjun Sablok’s Na Tum Jaano Na Hum.
I need to look at that film again.
Q . How does it feel to have finally got there right at the top?
Great! But it’s futile to do mental gymnastics about my box-office position. These are numbers meant to only inflate your ego. I’m enjoying it, yes. It’s very important for me to understand that people are only trying to make me happy by calling me Rock Star and No. 1, or whatever.
Q . But there’s a growing feeling that you are No. 1.
I’d rather not waste my time thinking about this. I’ve done good work and Dhoom 2 worked. What made it work was that all of us in the film were on the same side. All of us — Abhishek, Ash, Uday, Bipasha and I — were trying to make the same film. That’s why we had such a happy ending.
Q . Would you say your superstardom was somewhat stymied by the spate of setbacks after Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai?
No. I think what happened with my career was for the best. I got to see the high and the low very early in my career. It gave me a clear and balanced perspective on how to go about my career.I also learnt not to take labels like ‘Superstar’ seriously. It’s very easy to start believing in the persona that’s created for you in the media. Once that happens, you are finished.
Q . Did the exuberant welcome and then the snide comments about being your dad’s resident hero after Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai caution you?
No, it completely freed me from people’s expectations. I started doing things that came from my my heart. I chose the path that came naturally to me. Doing my best for all my roles is my only option. If during the low phase I had tried to live up to the labels that were given to me after my debut I’d have never done a Koi…Mil Gaya where I played a mentally challenged character. I’d have been too conscious of cultivating an image to try so non-sexy and unheroic roles. For all practical purposes it was a wrong career move. Being an actor is all about exploring all the personalities that come your way.
Q . It’s about trying to be people who you are not?
Not really. I think every character I played, in Dhoom 2 or Yaadein or Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, had a bit of me. If I don’t connect with the character through my performances I’d end up hamming. Some unexplored, maybe unknown, side of your personality goes into every character. I’ve a bit of Rohit and Aryan in me. And yet they’re new people to me.
Q . Women find you sexy after Dhoom 2, we believe?
After the nerd and the innocent Koi…Mil Gaya and Krrish it’s very reassuring to know I’m capable of jumping from one end of the image spectrum to another. As an actor it’s very satisfying.
Q . People feel you’ve never looked better.
The entire credit for that should be given to the stylist Anaita who took charge of the film’s look. I can’t even begin to take credit for my look. Right from the conception stage Anaita led me into the look.
Q . It’s believed that good-looking people don’t make great actors.
I completely disagree with that. In fact, I believe good looks are about extraordinary acting. If you’re a good actor you’re bound to look good. It’s the strength, confidence and composure that lend character and good looks to an actor. All these qualities make you sexy.
Q . But a lot of ordinary looking actors are great actors!
The fact that they’re considered great actors makes them good looking. An actor may not be into gyming and slimming. He still has all the women lusting after him. How do you explain that? There’s a secret ingredient which you exude and radiate as an actor. That’s the quality that makes you sexy.

I follow bollywood seriously but I usually watch only one or two movies a year in theater. But this year I had seen many movies in Theater:
Krishh,KANK,Vivah,LRM,Darwaja Band Rakho (hahahaa),Aap Ki Khatir
Now planning to watch Dhoom 2 in this weekend.
Best Ironical and emotional dialogue I have seen in this year is from movie Vivah.
Alok nath goes with her nice Amrita Rao, who is going to marry Shahid, to her going to be in Laws Home. After Party on Dinning Table when Amrita going to serve to Alok nath,Anupam Kher who plyas father of Shahid said
“Liziye hamari bahu ke hath ke bani hui …”.The emotions which ran on the Alok Nath’s face at that time were remarkable.
Any one who has daughter or sister whom they have married, can understand the irony and emotion in the dialogue.

How we chose politicians. Do I need to explain? Rahul Gandhi becomes leader because his mother was leader, no… no… his father was leader are nahi actually his grand ma was leader, areee baap his great grand pa was leader …oops, confused… me not…
Do we choose our film stars like this way? Some of us do but THANK GOD not most of us. Perfect example in the present case is AB Jr. When he started his inning 7 years ago, he tries to use only the name “Bachchan”. But at that time Amitabh Bachchan Brand was also not doing well. So neither the name sells nor the son. Time changes “Big B” term pop up after Kaun Banega Crorepati, but for son time remains same. Now father himself comes into the scene to save the son. no no baba to give country new super star. ne new number UNO . Sorry my mistake. Ok so B&B and KANK come. You can spot both of them together on any kind of media. Media also tries its best compare the father and son. But things do not change. The poor Indians still did not accept AB Baby as Super Star of Bollybood. I can still remember the face of anchor on AAJ TAK channel, when reviewer said that its HR who is going away with cake and better than AB in Dhoom2, She look lost and soon changes her whole discussion on who is better AB or Hrithik. Even some one believes that whole Baranasi Pooja Drama was played to shift focus from HR and Ash and Dhoom2.
But THANK GOD WE DONOT CHOSE SUPERSTARS like …………….

Hi Guys,
Its time to change. New year is coming and high time to change. Time passes, you become older day by day, year by year. Your whole system keep becoming less and less effective on each passing second. To keep the pace of degradation slows, we require changing so many things, which we do, or the way we do. We cannot change ourselves on each passing second but we can try to change bit of ourselves on each passing year. So that we can live happily on this earth and keep enjoying human life a gift of God.
It is time for change also. Living far away from family is always boring one. But the Makkar Skaranti, New Year is the time for change also.
Holidays provide the time for change, so that we can get time to think how we can change so that no one can further lecture us on that its time to change.

Yesterday I was feeling low early in the morning. May be due to SAD effect.
Then I got the news of Manu conviction while browsing net.I feel relieved and happy.Happy for Sabrina, Bina and Justice for Jessica movement.
But mostly I was happy for myself.Since last two or three years I have felt this very strongly that being a woman in India is not an easy thing. They do not receive one quota of what they give to society.
Whether they are working women, house wives or highly educated one, they are treated as inferior and somewhat lower. This all I have seen happening to some ones who are so dare to me. Even then I feel so helpless at the time for not being able to do anything.
When Ram Jethmelani during the trial try to change the track from sharab to shabab ,I feel like killing that bastard.I strongly feel that People like Jethmalani deserves no respect how ever older , high profile or successful they may have been.
But at last every thing ends well.
I hope in Supreme Court also things will end in right way.May God give rest to Jessica's Soul.
Another thing which make yesterday special is victory of Indian Team in SA. Every time I saw Srisanth dancing on TV screen, I feel smiling and even shy of myself that why I cannot express my happiness in same way.

After decades of domination by the three Khans (Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman), 2006 witnessed the establishment of a second generation of superstars who are set to takeover the baton.
Hrithik Roshan has clearly emerged as the next big bet in Bollywood. With two blockbusters - "Krrish" and "Dhoom 2" - within one year under his belt, the light-eyed hunk is being compared to Hollywood sensations Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
Hrithik's superhuman act in "Krrish" has been touted as better than Hollywood's super heroes. And in "Dhoom 2", he has given a blockbuster not produced by his father.
The film has also put the stamp of successive successes on Abhishek Bachchan, whose fortunes had turned for the better with "Bunty Aur Babli" and has been shinning since then.
Abhishek's upcoming single-hero project "Guru" is likely to consolidate his position as a performer-cum-star.
One look at the reining films on the marquees and it seems that John Abraham is set to occupy top rankings in the tally of leading Bollywood actors in the New Year. Given that, he has no family ties with the industry, this is no easy feat.
John is featuring in two films on the marquees at the moment and both are as different as chalk and cheese.
While one is "Baabul", a true-blue Bollywood multi-starrer about widow remarriage, the other is a rare travelogue into war-torn Afghanistan titled "Kabul Express".
John is comfortable rubbing shoulders with mega stars like Salman, Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji as well as talented character actors like Arshad Warsi and Nana Patekar.
Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman have also had their share of success this year. But the norm that films featuring the Khans will be the biggest grosser of the year has been broken.
Box-office wise, Shah Rukh and Salman have not performed exceptionally this year. "Don - The Chase Begins" was Shah Rukh's calling card this year but it did not outshine all others. Salman's "Jaan-e-mann" fell short of the competition.
Although Salman's "Baabul" may still be a hit as it is a family oriented drama and such flicks usually take time to grow on audiences. The actor has, however, lost some of his box office draw this year.
Aamir with his policy of one project at a time will continue to be a chief attraction in the year ahead but for film trade investors investing in him is no longer a guarantee to success.
And now that Shah Rukh has signed on to do STAR's "Kaun Banega Crorepati", he will have less time for films.
Thankfully for Bollywood, a new set of stars is waiting in the wings.

I think for IIM's KANK will be better case study than Krrish.
Krrish has had some thing postive in movie, the movie would have been hit anyway.
But look at KANK, you will hardly find any one like the movie, except SK fans. and see movie has been marketed so well that it becomes one of biggest hit of year(As far as first week collection goes)
First an unprecedented hype was created. Then certain critics has been hired to make film look like a greatest ever show. What you get a good first week. Not goot but damn good. film has recovered cost mostly.so already a Hit.
Now whats great is that on basis of first week collections they are booking for 2nd week.
And general comments are:
Film is biggest blockbustter urban India has seen. Wow.... One should forget about sholay, HAHK,or Gadar.
Film is not doing well in rural because film is for class not for mass.
What if films collections drop more than 50%.Film already has collected much in first week.
So where are IIM guys.
Come on when ever you get a chance like this.
Its history, when people did not like movie, what still its biggest blockbuster.
